*checking my death list*
Where’d he go? Thought I had him on it again.
*checks 2020 list*
There he is. Doesn’t count.

Damn. That’s awful
I remember Gomez from his reporting from the Bonds years. He was good.

Really sad to hear this. Marty always seemed like a good guy. I saw an interview with him a few years ago, where he was obviously struggling with his memory and his wife would yell things to him from off camera - and it was heartbreaking. What a horrid disease. Rest peacefully, Marty.

Yeah, that interview was wrenching. Yet his love for her hadn't faded at all.

He was certainly a good one. I got the chance to work with him a couple of times at ESPN and there wasn't one bit of an air of superiority or arrogance because he had been an NFL coach. He could sit around and talk football forever and would bring in other people on the staff about ideas of how to make his segments better. Sucks that the good ones get afflicted with diseases like this.

Probably the best Skins coach between Gibbs I and Rivera, including Gibbs II. You wonder how things might have been different if they hadn't ditched him in favor of Spurrier.

Not sure if ‘pour’ is the correct verb to use in that sentence for that context.

oh damn he’s a great one
I’m fearing the day Sonny Rollins passes. He’s my favorite saxophonist
Overall it feels like jazz and it’s history are lost to the tempo of time. It’s a very underrated genre with some magical musicians
People think Kenny G when they hear “jazz” but he was never accepted into the jazz community because he sucks
