YouTuber Corie La Barrie died in a car crash. Looks like he was involved in a car crash with one of the guys from Ink Master.

The influence these idiots have over children is disturbing, to put it mildly.
I don't need to look at their youtube to agree.

Yeah, there was a siderant that I had about having no idea who this "influencer" was and how he lived in a house of "influencers", but I decided not to post it since it was steering offcourse of the RIP.

Nonetheless, sucks that somebody lost their life because some dumbass got behind the wheel after drinking all day.

RIP my grandma. My grandfather passed away a few months ago. They were together for 76 years. She was never the same after he passed.

I'm very sad but happy they were only apart for such a short period of time. She really felt lost without him. They were the definition of soulmates.

I am glad I got to see her one last time last night.

I'm feeling a little better each day, but it's going to take a long time. Thank you for asking.

Sorry for your loss, skullman80.

Shyster - I can't even imagine what you're going through. My mom's my best friend. No idea how I'll handle losing her.

Thanks all.

I honestly didn't know she had gone far downhill until a few days ago. She had been living alone after my grandfather died with my dad going to check on her daily. She still wanted her independence even at 98.

I guess a couple weeks ago she moved in with my dad and step-mom, then last week they started home hospice. Monday they moved her to hospice care at a facility. She looked comfortable when I was able to visit her for a short time on Wednesday night. I take solace in the fact that all she wanted since my grandfather passed was to be with her "buddy" again. She got her wish and that makes me happy.

Yesterday, MOH winner Ronald Shurer passed away from lung cancer at the way too young age of 41.

On April 6, 2008, the team was participating in a joint US-Afghan raid designed to kill or capture Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the leader of Hezb-e Islami Gulbuddin (HIG) in the Shok Valley of Nuristan Province of Afghanistan.

While moving through the valley, the team came under enemy machine gun, sniper and rocket-propelled grenade fire. The team suffered several casualties and became pinned down on a mountainside. To reach the first wounded soldier, who had received RPG shrapnel in his neck, Shurer ran through enemy fire. He continued up the mountain, returning fire for another hour and killing several insurgents to reach more wounded soldiers. He stabilized four more wounded soldiers and then received more enemy fire including a strike to his helmet and a wound to his arm. He then treated a soldier who lost a leg and continued aiding the injured and fighting the enemy for several more hours. He helped evacuate the wounded back down the mountain to a medevac helicopter, at times using his body as a shield against debris being dislodged from the cliff by the firefight.

"...including a strike to his helmet..."

The actual wounds wouldn't freak me out so much as a close call of that nature. I read stuff like that, and I can only imagine my response would be "Well, this has been quite fun, but I'm afraid my participation must come to an end at this point."
