Aw man, before Belzer played Munch on L&O, he played him on Homicide: Life on the Street which IMO was a better, less formulaic show directed by Barry Levinson. Find it if you’ve never seen it. It was appointment TV for me back in the 90s.

What I have seen of Homicide was pretty great. Show was based on David Simon's book that he wrote while still working for the Baltimore Sun. As such, Munch was actually based on Jay Landsman, who was both a character on The Wire and an actor on The Wire (the real Jay Landsman played Lt. Dennis Mello). I don't remember the full list at this point, but Belzer appeared as "Detective Munch" in Homicide, Law and Order, SVU, The Wire, Arrested Development, and The X Files, while making cameo "actor playing Munch" in a couple of other shows.Aw man, before Belzer played Munch on L&O, he played him on Homicide: Life on the Street which IMO was a better, less formulaic show directed by Barry Levinson. Reading quickly I thought it was Richard Lewis who has looked dead for a few years now.

For the longest time, I mixed up this incident with the 20/20 incident involving David Schultz, thinking that Schultz repeatedly slapped Belzer.
Edit: speaking of the 20/20 incident, the anniversary of that incident was today.

I always really liked him in Black Hawk Down. That was the role that stuck out to me the most
Getting to 61 when he had the drug problems he had is impressive honestly. I knew he had issues but googled which ones specifically…heroin, crystal meth and coke. Also he seemed like a shitty person with both physical and sexual abuse allegations (from someone who was 11 at the time)

was just talking about Skynyrd and the bands remaining original members on Saturday.
A few friends were having the discussion about bands touring with less than half of the original or tenured members and whether or not that it should be mentioned in advertising while touring. Like are you getting the band, or are you getting one or two members and a rotating roster of musicians filling in?

I'd bet that most would know who is still with the band and who isn't. This happened to Slayer towards the end. Jeff Hanneman died (RIP) and was replaced by Gary Holt - who filled in amazingly - and then dickbag Kerry King kicked out Dave Lombardo.A few friends were having the discussion about bands touring with less than half of the original or tenured members and whether or not that it should be mentioned in advertising while touring. Foreigner’s current lead singer Kelly has been with the band longer than Lou Gramm was. But they don’t have any original members left save for an occasional appears by Mick.
