Wow, I didn't realize he was that old. I enjoyed "Soap" and "Benson" as a kid, and "Sports Night" was awesome.Interesting life story. Loved Sports Night. Surprised it was prostate cancer.Actor Robert Guillaume, who won Emmys playing on the sitcoms "Soap" and "Benson," has died at age 89 in Los Angeles.

He actually played quite a "senior" guy on Sports Night - and if I remember well, he even suffered stroke during the time of filming (which Aaron Sorkin immediately wrote in as one of plot-lines).Wow, I didn't realize he was that old. And yes, Sports Night was great. My second most favorite "why didn't they renew it" series (after the NFL show on ESPN - though that was a borderline "unintended comedy" for me).
RIP
My understanding was that Playmakers was killed by the NFL for being a little too close to home depicting player issues. Oddly I have both SportsNight and Playmakers on DVD.
The only thing I remember from Playmakers was the gay guy story line.

The gay story was interesting and quite innovative for early 2000s. There was also the rampant drug abuse by the team star, spousal abuse involving the guy who was at the end of the career, the head coach was dying... Basically the team was a total mess...My understanding was that Playmakers was killed by the NFL for being a little too close to home depicting player issues. So Sam, Bryant, Hardy, and Pagano? Not sure what the NFL was upset about.

Love Fats Domino's stuff...RIP. I remember during Katrina he refused to leave, and was rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter.
Regarding Robert Guillaume...the role that he is most beloved by me for...Eli Vance in Half Life 2:

Much bummer about Fats.
The story of how he got back his personal belongings lost in Katrina is pretty cool. Guy was a national treasure, and rock and roll sounds like it does now because Fats sounded like he did back then.

You're right, Tomas. I remember his stroke. the way KDKA has that worded, it almost sounded like it was his plane but he wasn't involved.

yeah, he's listed in the headline once you click on the link, but I thought it was weird because of how vague the tweet is.
Possible case of wanting to be first, only having partial information at the time of their tweet and updating the article a few minutes later?
(well look at that, there's a large size shrug emoji. who knew?)

Just awful awful awful news...
Someone on Reddit posted something about this being one of the very first planes in production by this company, and that the original test pilot died too. No idea if that has been substantiated.
