At first glance of the tweet I thought it was Skip Bayless.

I'm sad twice, now.

One of my wife's best friends is having a baby on Tuesday. Hard pregnancy with complications, and she just lost a pregnancy last year. She sent my wife a text this morning "I have bad news, call me when you can."
Turns out two guys stole a Land Rover and were running from the police. They struck the friend's mother's vehicle, killing her mother instantly and putting her father in the ICU in critical condition. The thieves survived, of course, and fled on foot. They were kind enough to leave behind some DNA though, so it should only be a matter of time before they're apprehended.
Because the friend is delivering the baby on Tuesday she can't fly out to California to check on her father or attend the funeral for her mother.

People suck.

Viktor Bryukhanov, the man in charge of Chernobyl at the time of the disaster died today at the age of 85. Based on what I read about him, he was far more decisive compared to how he was depicted in the HBO series.

But Salata’s greatest success in pro football began in 1976, when he created Irrelevant Week, a series of events to honor the last pick in the NFL draft, dubbed Mr. Irrelevant. Salata would present Mr. Irrelevant with the Lowsman Trophy and throw a parade in his honor, and Irrelevant Week festivities raised money for Southern California charities.

Woof. Sad loss, and will undoubtedly be fodder for anti-vaxxers.

RIP Gunther (James Michael Tyler). Cancer, which we found out a while back was the reason he was not in attendance at the Friends reunion.

I don’t think I know who he was (never seen Friends), but one of his credits in Wikipedia is Iron Chef America? I guess as a celebrity judge lol

He’s much too famous and qualified for that role.
