RIP to my uncle at age 87. He was a doctor, a husband, a father of three, a grandfather of four, and an all-around stand-up guy.
Ah, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear.

RIP Naomi Judd
It was suicide, apparently.

That tracks, given that my wife read that she died from "mental illness".

A day or two late, but also RIP Mike Hagerty (67). He was a character actor in so many shows I can remember.

Lads, please raise a glass in your fashion to Mrs Tif's dad, Randy.

Due to Alzheimer's, he was in a state of pretty steady mental decline for the last 18 months. His body began to nope out about a month ago, and he spent his last two weeks in the hospital before his transfer to hospice on Tuesday.

Alzheimer's is something that took my wife's grandmother. Absolutely horrendous few months for the family. RIP Randy. Sorry for your loss Tiff.

I love Tremors so much. That's a movie that I could watch over and over again. He's also great in Naked Gun 33 1/3.

RIP legendary electronic and new age musician Vangelis Papathanassiou, who among others composed the scores for the films Blade Runner, Alexander, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, and Chariots of Fire (for which he won an Academy Award for Best Original Score). Over his career, Vangelis scored a dozen films and released more than 20 studio albums, including four "John and Vangelis" albums in collaboration with John Anderson of Yes. Vangelis died on May 17 at a hospital in Paris due to heart failure while receiving treatment for COVID-19. He was 79.
