Chewbacca Actor Peter Mayhew From ‘Star Wars’ Dies at 74
https://variety.com/2019/film/news/pete ... 203203816/
Nooooooooooo

He was in poor health for years, but he was always on reddit randomly commenting and replying to people. That sucks
Yeah he always seemed like a genuinely good dude. I’m happy he was able to see the series’ resurgence and was able to first hand “train” and pass the torch to Joonas Suotamo. Mayhew was able to convey so much emotion and character through that mask. He’ll be missed for sure.

Damn. Fowler was a Tonight Show legend. I love watching his old clips with Johnny Carson.

I am no longer a fan of boxing, but when I was, Harold Lederman was a key factor why I enjoyed HBO broadcasts more than Showtime... (Just learned he died during the weekend.)

Tim Conway passed today. 85.

He was Ensign Parker on McHale's Navy . An absolute riot on the Carol Burnett show. And for folks who have young children, he was Barnacle Boy to Ernest Borgnine's Mermaid Man (who he worked with on McHale's Navy) on Spongebob Squarepants. RIP.

Nooooooooooooo...I love watching old clips of his on YT.

He was an insanely talented comedian. He was hilarious on McHale's Navy too. If you remember the "Dorf Goes Fishing" commercials from the early 90s, he was the guy that played Dorf too. But yes, he and Carol Burnett were a perfect pair. RIP.

So sad to hear about Tim Conway. One of the absolute comedy geniuses of my lifetime. We enjoy seeking out clips of him and Harvey Korman from the Carol Burnett Show; after seeing the premise of the sketch we'd set an over/under for how long it would take Conway to get Korman to break, and it was never longer than 90 seconds. (We've seen pretty much all of the sketches now, so the game is kinda useless.)

Man, this is a real tough one to take.

I'm actually shocked at this mainly because I could have sworn Tim Conway passed a year or two ago. I don't know why I thought that. Man, was he funny.

Master storyteller and I'm not sure anyone else could beat his comedic timing.

I did as well, I then realized it was Ken Berry, Vinton Harper on Mama's Family, that I was thinking of.
