The only song I could think of was a James Taylor song.

are you old enough to remember ed chauncey? he was a radio legend at kdka. when he retired someone did an interview with ed and asked him the best and worst moments of his on-air career. his worst moment came when he learned patsy cline had died. he didn't know the cause of her demise. as a tribute he played 'i fall to pieces' -a no1 hit for her- only to shortly find out she perished in a plane crash.I know these songs from KDKA radio when they played pop hits during the day.

I do remember when Max from WDVE played "Another One Bites the Dust" after one of the child murders in ATL and was fired.

Vaccines most likely... it's starting.
Sad to see young people die like that, regardless of the reason. So much life to still live.

But it strangely affects athletes at a much higher percentage. No cause of death given which usually means suicide, OD, or the Covid vaccine that has been given to 5.55 billion people around the world.

Yup... strange how we've heard more about famous people dying from covid vaccines than uncle frank or cousin jimmy. It's almost like they're famous or something.

Petr Klima, despite playing a minimal number of games for the Penguins, once said that Pittsburgh was the last place to play hockey that he instead would rather work in a car wash.
Or maybe the quote was said after his time here.
In either case, 58 is way too young. RIP Petr.

I just spent a while reading about this guy. What a life. I really liked this part:Ben Ferencz, the last living Nuremberg Prosecutor, at 103. He remained committed to war crime prosecution and international criminal justice for his entire life. Phillipe Sands, a fellow human rights lawyer, says that he'd been speaking to Ferencz recently about possible Russian war crimes trials. Fascinating man.

Benjamin B. Ferencz, one of the prosecutors in the Nuremberg trials after the end of World War II who, in May 1945, investigated occurrences at the Ebensee concentration camp, narrated them to Tom Hofmann, a family member and biographer. Ferencz was outraged at what the Nazis had done there. When people discovered an SS guard who attempted to flee, they tied him to one of the metal trays used to transport bodies into the crematorium. They then proceeded to light the oven and slowly roast the SS guard to death, taking him in and out of the oven several times. Ferencz said to Hofmann that at the time, he was in no position to stop the proceedings of the mob, and frankly admitted that he had not been inclined to try. Hofmann adds, "There seemed to be no limit to human brutality in wartime."

RIP Vida Blue.
Blue was voted the 1971 American League Cy Young Award and Most Valuable Player after going 24-8 with a 1.82 ERA and 301 strikeouts with 24 complete games, eight of them shutouts. He remains among just 11 pitchers to win both honors in the same year.
