When I heard, I was just gonna come in here and post "End of tweet", but I see DG has already posted the actual tweet. I mean.......... I guess I did that anyway.

Damn, not Paulie Walnuts!

I remember at one point he was in jail in Youngstown. Paulie was, I don't know where Tony Sirico did his bit.

RIP manga artist Kazuki Takahashi, the creator of the massive Yu-Gi-Oh! manga / anime / card game/ video game franchise, at age 60. It looks like Mr. Takahashi drowned while snorkeling off the coast of Okinawa.

YGO was keeping the lights on at Konami when I left in 2014. Kaz was indirectly responsible for one of my great memories from working there: The Nerd Rage Hall Of Fame was a collection of the best "I would like to speak to a manager" letters we received from players from all over the world, disputing judges' calls, challenging the legality of player decks, it was amazing.

RIP Mickey Gilley
This got lost between a bunch of stuff and I missed it, but heard it this morning. Guy had just a slew of #1 country songs from the mid-70s to mid-80s. Sort of at the end of the era of honky-tonk type country,

He also owned Gilley's, the then-largest honky-tonk in America, in Pasadena, TX which was featured in "Urban Cowboy" with John Travolta. It burned down in 1990 and wasn't rebuilt, but there are three locations still operating elsewhere

He was a cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swaggart .

My wife found out her cousin passed away two nights ago. Apparent suicide - pill overdose. That's the third person I've known that has died in the past 2 years that is younger than me. All in similar ways - died in their sleep due to drug dependencies.

This freaking pandemic...I know we all gave nobody a hard time, and rightfully so for the most part, but the mental anguish from this is something we may never truly understand.

So sorry to hear robbie. Yeah, it's been crazy. I've been having my own issues that have never popped up in my prior 44 years on this earth (although overall getting better). And I lost a friend that was 42 3 months ago in the same manner as your wife's cousin.

But hang in there.

Strongly recommend seeking out professional help. That can sound like a loaded term, but it doesn't mean you're crazy. It just means you're looking for an assist. It's something I would've only abstractly supported a year ago, but with me now coming up on six months of weekly therapy the recommendation is coming from a place of direct experience now.

Great stuff. Weekly therapy for four years here. Game changer. Glad the stigma has gone away a bit.

Such a panoply of headlines for this in my news notifications.

"Ivana Trump, first wife of former president Donald Trump...."
"Mother of Donald Trump's Children....."
"One of Donald Trump's ex-wives..." which I thought was particularly crass.
