Nitti's death scene there is one of the all-time great bad guy death payoffs of the 80s. I was gutted to learn some time later that he was actually Capone's successor as boss in Chicago, and committed suicide in the 1940s. (Not that ever believed Ness chucked him off the courthouse building DID HE SOUND ANYTHING LIKE THAT style)

RIP former Chrysler and Ford chair Lee Iacocca at age 94. First famous business person I think I was ever really aware of.

I learned to drive on an Iacocca ‘84 Reliant.

Iacocca had a number of memorable highs and lows in the auto industry:

Ford Mustang: very high
Ford Pinto: low
Getting fired by Ford: very low
Chrysler bailout: low
Runaway success of the minivan: high
Buying AMC to get the Jeep brand and the Grand Cherokee, which basically created the modern notion of the SUV: super high

RIP to a great salesman and a great car guy.

My uncle's up-armored pinto would dispute your claim of "Low".

I cursed him a month ago in the Movie Thread with this line:

"I had no idea that Lee Iacocca was still alive". Welp. An auto legend indeed.

Iacocca also, on his way out of Chrysler, oversaw it's savior in the LH platform by introducing the Dodge Intrepid and it's siblings. Without Lee there would be no "dod-int." Just let the thought of that settle in for a moment.

I've been using it since ~98. The only name I can remember using before that was Nedved93.

In the racing world I just use "Gess" because everyone uses their real names either in their usernames or signatures and since it's a fairly unique surname it works well. It's also on the side of my car so it helps connect the forum people with the folks at the track more easily.

RIP Pillsbury Throwboy

Last I heard he had been losing weight and was working on a healthier lifestyle. I had no idea he was back in the hospital with all of the health issues that were reported.

I have a ton of his stuff with Getz and Jobim on vinyl. I’ll never get tired of listening to Girl from Ipanema. That’s smooth right there.

I feel like I saw a tweet within the last two weeks that said something to the effect of "Without looking it up, do you think H Ross Perot is still alive?"

Guess that didn't age well.
