I didn't intend to pour it on like that. If so, my bad. You are good people tif, just checking to make sure you are hanging in there.

Don't forget I hate where I live and I'm terribly homesick.

It's true I've been on a bit of a roll lately, but I'm keepin' on. Thanks much.

Homesick for L.A.? Or Altoona?

Man, I would love to live in the Bay Area. But I get it, it's just not working for you.

Is that an actual question, or are you trying to brighten the mood with comedy? :P

Homesick for LA might be the saddest thing I have ever heard. ;)

Not as bad as being homesick for Altoona.

The bummer about liking hundreds of food and travel pages on Facebook is that they are all sharing remarks about Bourdain.

Last thing: nobody did a better job than Bourdain of showing that the world is made up of *people* and not cartoon Others. And once you internalize that, it becomes a million times harder to stomach this stupid, destructive, tribal, political thing we keep doing to each other.

It’s one of the reasons I loved his shows and found them inspiring.

Brilliant guy, imo. Like others, I’m simply stunned.

Ugh....I have always respected Krauthammer a lot. Pretty damn fine life considering he's been a quadraplegic since he was like 19. That sucks.

I've never watched anything with Bourdain, I read his new Yorker article he wrote years back today and realized I've missed a lot. I will rectify this.

No reservations is one of the most enjoyable shows on TV, not just one of the best food or travel programs.

If you're interested, CNN is airing a special tribute about Bourdain tonight at 10 pm EST, and run a marathon of Parts Unknown over the weekend.

Really saddened to hear about Anthony Bourdain. I loved his books and shows, and he was one of my favorite people. His shows, and especially Parts Unknown on CNN, were not merely shows about travel or food. They were superb social commentary. I watched to see what Bourdain was saying and thinking every bit as much as what Bourdain was cooking or eating. I feel terrible for his family and daughter. I also feel terrible for Eric Ripert. It was obvious that Ripert and Bourdain were close friends, and he must be absolutely crushed to have been the one to discover his friend's suicide.

Ripper's Facebook comment
Anthony was my best friend. He was an exceptional human being, so inspiring and generous. One of the great storytellers of our time who connected with so many around the world on a level rarely seen. He brought us all on some incredible journeys. I pray he is at peace from the bottom of my heart. My love and prayers are also with his family, friends, loved ones and everyone that knew him.

It doesn't look like CNN has pushed an update to the program guide (at least on Vue), so if you want to DVR the tribute you may have to set it to record Don Lemon.
