What a life. He played football at my alma mater, Juniata College, playing on both sides of the ball for their first undefeated season in history (1953). Went on to be an assistant there and then at Tyrone High School.

This one stings. Man. I grew up with his Seahawks teams. They were my first favorite team in any sport. Ground Chuck. Curt Warner at RB, Dan Doornink and later John L. Williams at FB.RIP Chuck Knox of Sewickley and Juniata College, former NFL Head Coach most notably of the 5 time division champion Rams and Dave kreig/ Steve Largent Seahawks teams at 86
Largent and Warner still remain two of my favorite all-time players.

Back in the Ground Chuck days The Seahawks were often the late double header game on NBC especially when they played Raiders or Broncos. 90% of the time there was only one game available to watch at 4 (guess there still is if you don’t have Sunday Ticket) but then there really was only one game to watch. I don’t have much time for them now but back then I was definitely a secondary Seahawks fan.

Ah, I just helped a student with a paper on "I am Charlotte Simmons." I've never read it, but our freshman English classes use that text for one of their papers. A Man in Full and Right Stuff are excellent.

Charlotte Simmons is a good read. Bonfire is worth all its praise and his book on Apollo missions is excellent.

I think Bonfire as a whole was chore (too long), but there are some amazing passages in that book. Specifically the long courtroom scene with the small time criminals and their hack attorneys dealing with the ornery judge.Charlotte Simmons is a good read. Bonfire is worth all its praise and his book on Apollo missions is excellent.
