RIP Terry Goodkind, the author of The Sword of Truth fantasy book series, at age 72.

Aw man...... I knew he had Parkinson's or something like that, which made his final interview appearances sort of sad to watch.

Aww man, I always get sad whenever one of the old Bond actors passes on. Moonraker is a sentimental favorite for me. He was also very good in Day of the Jackal.

Yeah I was surprised on that one too. I thought he passed awhile back.

And hawk went at 46. Cocaine and steroids must not be good for the heart or something. I'm assuming that's how he went at least.

I've been very fortunate in my life to have not lost many friends via tragic or unwilling circumstances, but today that streak is at an end. I said goodbye to my 14 and a half year old golden retriever, Bailey, this afternoon. After some really tough experiences with dogs when I was young, I was really skittish about them in general for a while. She completely flipped my feelings about the entire species...and not long after, I really considered her a loyal friend. She was just so excited to see anyone, any time...she made it so that I didn't have to pick up after myself...she intently supervised all of my cooking exploits...she had a strange knack for always coming out to watch the Leafs on HNIC with me on Saturday nights, those were the only games she came out for...she just knew what was going on, what we were talking about it seemed like, and even knew that it was time to go.

Time is undefeated in so many ways...and the millions of highs that we had, needed to be paid for with this one crushing low. I know a lot of you are pet owners, and if you enjoy the time with your pet friends even one-tenth as much as I enjoyed my time with Bailey, you're doing each other a great service.

Bye, moo.

I'm sorry mikey. That's so rough.

There's quite an awesome pack of 5AF doggos that crossed the bridge in the last few years.
