The thing I most respected about Bourdain, as others have mentioned, is that he respected the opinions of others, even the unsophisticated folks from middle America and elsewhere. Even though he was a fantastic chef in his own right, he loathed the food snobbery that has become so pervasive in the last 15-20 years.
RIP
But at the same time, he absolutely loathed the dumbing down of food culture through things like Guy Fieri and Cutthroat Kitchen and generally what Food Network has become in the last dozen years or so.The thing I most respected about Bourdain, as others have mentioned, is that he respected the opinions of others, even the unsophisticated folks from middle America and elsewhere. After starting 11 games for the Patriots in 2002, Jones was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list at the beginning of the 2003 season. While on the list, Jones was arrested on October 21, 2003 and charged with allegedly throwing hot tea on his cousin, Mark Paul. He was released by the Patriots five days later. While playing for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League in March 2008, Jones was arrested outside a Tampa, Florida nightclub after attempting to urinate on the dance floor and then shoving the off-duty police officer who threw Jones out of the establishment. Jones was arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.[/quote]No love for Kenyatta Jones, dead at 39?
Ahh, how did I forget him?

RIP Joe. Always seemed like a good dude.
Also seemed like he was at least 80 like 20 years ago.

Joe DeNardo visited my elementary school when I was in 1st grade (I think) and I was called up to the stage to answer some weather questions. I remember I was asked what the center of a hurricane is called. I didn't know the answer, so he whispered "the eye" into my ear. Rest in peace Joe.

RIP Matt "Guitar" Murphy, guitarist for the Blues Brothers and sideman for blues legends like Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters. If you remember the Blues Brothers movie, Murphy was the one running a soul-food restaurant, with Aretha Franklin playing his wife.
