RIP
I was confused at first when it said he had been struck by a car in Venice, since there aren't any cars allowed in Venice, Italy. Then I saw it was Venice, CA.

The last of the legendary Flying Tigers of World War II has died
A Columbus man who was considered the last of the surviving Flying Tigers from World War II has died.
Frank Losonsky, 99, died Thursday at home from natural causes, his son Chris told the Ledger-Enquirer in a phone interview Monday. No funeral service is planned, he said.
According to a 2019 article on the Voice of America website, Losonsky was the last survivor of the Flying Tigers.
That's the nickname of the legendary World War II unit officially called the American Volunteer Group.
They were 311 U.S. military service members recruited to help the Chinese Air Force fend off the Japanese invasion in mid-1941, according to WarBirdNews.com. Losonsky became a crew chief and sergeant with the 3rd Squadron, nicknamed the Hell's Angels.
After the United States joined the war in December 1941, the AVG disbanded and became part of the U.S. Air Force 23rd Fighter Group in July 1942.

I just found out not long ago she sang the Jeffersons theme. I dont think a Saturday goes by where I'm not on having coffee on my couch and flip on Good Times for at least a few minutes. It's on for like 12 hours each week

As they say in the Orthodox tradition, may her memory be eternal. Undoubtedly one of the greatest Americans to ever live. Never complained about the barriers erected to stop people like her from achieving what she did, just broke through them one by one. I love the history of space exploration and she was a major part of that. RIP.
