The worst barracks fight I ever got drawn into was between Puerto Rican's and Mexicans.
I can believe that. Even in my considerably smaller CG unit there were a Mexican and Dominican guy that hated each other with a burning passion. Latino heat.

With the Kobe stuff... The most annoying people on social media are the "WHAT ABOUT DA TROOPS?!" people. Like we are not allowed to memorialize anyone that isn't a TROOP or FIRST RESPONDER. These people are the worrrrrrst. Most of them are fat, out of shape slobs too. #rickrude
I saw that too. self righteous people posting, "I bet you don't know the names of these 2 soldiers killed in Afghanistan last week!" well no, I don't because they weren't playing a sport on an elite level for the whole world to see. bet you anything those 2 soldiers also weren't doing it for glory but rather out love for their country and not expecting any recognition.

He also gave David Letterman the break that led to his talk show career. Man...another titan of the golden age of TV gone.

I didn't realize she was that old. She was definitely a titan of late 20th century literature.

Andy Gill, guitarist and last original member of Gang Of Four, has passed away. No cause of death announced, or at least not one that I can find. He was 64.

"Mad Mike" Hoare, probably the best known mercenary of the 20th century, passed at 100 yesterday. He led one hell of an interesting life, which included leading an attempted coup in the Seychelles in the early 80s.

My Grandfather lost his short battle with cancer overnight. 85 years old. Passed away peacefully in his sleep while in hospice. Really going to miss him but glad to know he isn't in pain anymore.
