Still better than the NBA and NFL
I used to think that as well. GIve me college football and basketball anyday of the week over the NBA or NFL.

Now, not so much. Especially football.

This is where I am at. The fact that college football continues to look more closely aligned to the spring leagues rather than its own entity, the less exciting it has become for me.

college basketball is still variable enough. It doesn't look thattt much different. but football, woof.

it's hard for a conference to add spots once conference play starts - it's like you have to game it to get 8-9 top 30 teams going into conference play and then it all works out because every win is a quad 1 win for everyone

So if they go 6-4 to finish out (beat the cupcakes and split the push matchups more or less) and finish with 22 wins and a top-5 standing in the conference, they aren’t in?

Pitt went 14-6 in conference last season and had to go to Dayton for a play in game. Definitely a bubble team with 14 conference wins last year

This year the team has road wins at uva and duke, which helps. But it’s no sure thing at 13 wins.

That being said, it would benefit the tournament to have Hinson playing in it. That dude is entertaining af and can easily wreck a bracket if it he hot at the right time.

Does the fact that Virginia was previously undefeated at home change the math any? I admittedly never knew/dont know if quality wins were agnostic to things like that or not.
