So was this Franklin, or the boosters doing? All I can figure is no one wants to pay Jimmy to not coach. So this was the next best thing.

He didn’t me tion Yurcich by name yesrerday in the presser but he did say something about offensive play calling was not being used to get momentum or something along those lines..
Maybe they will bring Moorhead back. Can’t imagine he wouldn’t rather be OC here instead of head coach in the Ohio Valley Conference or wherever he is now

That last series makes you really think if they should have involved priblua more in the offense this year. (they may not have a choice now). Really highlights the strength of the team in the RBs and OL

Pribula finished the game 1/1 for 9 yards and if memory serves me it was like a jump pass to a WR on an option type play

Correct. It was an RPO where he ran toward the sideline and then flipped it to Warren for that 9-yard gain. It's funny how the threat of a running QB opened up a lot more running lanes for Singleton on that drive that made it 27-6. Almost like the o-line run blocks better when they can spread defenses out a little bit instead of packing them in with a QB who doesn't have the speed or the desire to run wide (yes, I know he runs those QB draws for some success). I'd have liked to have seen Beau throw the ball more since he very well could be starting on Friday but at the same time, it's Sparty and they're not gonna score more than 10 on this defense.

I kind of want to go to the D for the Lions on Thursday and the Lions on Friday but I feel like wifey would frown on that.

OK, you take the midfield logo and we'll take the end zones.

The CDT. I didn't subscribe but bought it regularly.
Had a NYT subscription for a while and would pick it up at Hammond Building.

I did not know that if you hand it off/lateral the ball, the intentional grounding rule is different than for the qb. Neat.

Franklin loves going for two when he doesn’t have to. Lol

Feel bad for this defense that the offense could not manage to be at least average in at least one of the two losses.

The second half domination was something that looked like the Delaware & UMASS games. It’s been so fun watching this defense destroy opponents.

Did they say in all of college football, Michigan, Ohio state, and Iowa were the top three defenses (statistically)? With PSU in 4th.
Are they that good on that side of the ball or just lack of great offenses in the big 10? Or both?

A little bit of both, but outside of top four teams in the Big Ten this season the rest of the league is mediocre at best.

Apparently Manny Diaz interviewed for HC at Duke... I can't imagine him staying past this year. Too many people are going to want him on their sidelines.

Got KU to #29 in both scoring and total offense this season. Pretty good for a traditional dumpster fire program.

File this in won't happen (Iowa win), but need a Michigan win Saturday so PSU doesn't get bumped to a lesser bowl.

I'm seeing a lot of Tulane in the Peach... Rather that or an SEC opponent in the Citrus?

Tulane would be fine. If we’re not in the playoffs, I’m hoping for as easy of a game as we can get. It’s a meaningless game, so have some fun and win big.
