Was that just a homeowner playing the odds with a chainsaw? “Well it can go 6 different directions if I cut this down, and I’ve seen some videos on YouTube...so, imma give it a shot.”

Where exactly where they trying to send that tree? The street? The sidewalk? I don't see any direction where it would be appropriate to drop a tree that size. Heck, it's tall enough they if it went into the street, it might be in someone's yard on the other side. That's a deal where you need a lift and rigging and cut the tree down in sections.

I watched our city take down a sick live oak tree today. Granted, it was much thicker and taller, but they had a heavy lift crane and multiple arborists working on it for about 4-5 hours this morning. It's a real science getting that right in a crowded area. Gravity's a real dodint.

where was he intending the tree go? house is on the left.
center/right screen is a streetlight and a street.
there's a jeep in the background (although it may be foreshortened).
the only other direction is where the guy is standing/running so it wasn't intended to go there.
all you can say is
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think they made a run and it peaked and now it's going back down again already...I didn't go for it, I did casually make fun of a couple of people that I saw get them, even the new wave ones...

I'm also not the intended audience for them, so I have to make sure I adjust my sights accordingly...I don't care for denim at all, especially blue jean stuff...I don't find it to be particularly stylish or comfortable...it's rare to find me in a pair of jeans (I do own a fair number of various pairs because they do have some utility) at all...I did just have a pair of custom light white denim button fly bell bottoms made for me that came out nicely...but the material is light enough that you can barely even tell that it's denim...

At the end of the day, I would never consider purchasing denim shorts/jorts...

The local NPR dude was having a rough go this morning...

"Today will be sunny and clear in central and northern Michigan... not Michigan...

*big sigh*

Good morning, it's 8 o'clock"

*Cut to national news*

Anyone read this long article on CNN about AmazonBasics products and fire hazards?

Dozens of Amazon's own products have been reported as dangerous -- melting, exploding or even bursting into flames. Many are still on the market

There's a list of products at the end of the article that people have deemed fire hazards. I own a number of them.
The AmazonBasics items below have received three or more reviews describing potential dangers — with customers using terms such as "dangerous," "fire hazard" or "unsafe." Some items have very similar, or even identical, product names, so if you think you have purchased one of these products, check your order history to compare the identification numbers. While many are still for sale, several have been pulled from Amazon's site, now taking customers to dead URLs, and others are currently unavailable for purchase or new versions have been introduced.

I haven't had any bad luck, though I do own one of the surge protectors. Replaced it yesterday just to be safe, since that's probably the biggest danger. I do have one of the shredders listed, but don't keep it in Auto mode. Still kinda scary.
