Chukky okobi

one of my most favorite pieces of business analysis was chukky okobi on the foreclosure process for that property. From the post gazette, august 23 2010:
Allegheny County court records say former Steelers lineman Chukky Okobi has not made a mortgage payment on his Shadyside mansion since October 2008, racking up nearly $1.2 million in back payments and fees. A sheriff's sale of the estate is scheduled for Sept. 7.

But Mr. Okobi said it's all according to plan.

"Not paying the mortgage was a strategic move on my part," he said.
By the looks of things, that mansion closed in 2018 and wasn't very popular with the neighbors.

Oh man, great find. We got married in 2009 so makes perfect sense why there were no renovations done to the place.

It takes a truly memorable quote for the marsupial to recall it almost word for word 10 years after the quote was in the newspaper. Way to go, chukky

I had found some from the Kennedy assassination when we moved out of my grandmas house but sadly they were reprints of the 25th anniversary in 1988.
I think I was my freshman year in high school then, and I went all in reading every single conspiracy theory book I could get my hands on. Even as a 15-year old, it was quite clear that they were loopy-doo crazy pants; acknowledging the flaws with the 'magic bullet theory' does not therefore logically lead one to conclude that JFK was shot by a Secret Service man in the following car.

Speaking of Twitch, they banned a lot of people for sexual assault allegations including their biggest “star” Dr. Disrespect, although they didn’t list any specifics for him. He just signed a multi-year contract back in March. His last stream the other day, he got a text or email said “Oh, ****” and ended the stream suddenly.

Weird.
Twitch suspended Donald's account, haven't given him the permaban like they did to the Doc

Okobi's white, politically connected neighbors hated the fact that he bought the big mansion in the neighborhood, and they sued him out of business. Chukky got totally screwed and pretty much lost everything.

I remember that Made for TV movie about killer bees in which one of the "protagonists" survives by laying in the bathtub breathing through a straw as the bees swarm all around.

Yeah that's it. :thumb:

It wasn't related to the conversation really, I just wanted the answer to my wandering brain nonsense without doing any actual work for myself...

while picking up lunch today I noticed the car in front of me paid with cash. I know not everyone has access to credit/debit cards but that's crazy! I haven't touched cash since early March. :scared:

Cash can be useful. I got a nice discount from a guy installing a new concrete sidewalk for me.

That's one of the very few use cases for cash.

I had no idea about him being sued. From what I could find online before posting, it sounded like it there were complaints about noise violations, a tent that he had been using in the yard, the capacity of folks running around on a given day, and the previously mentioned bankruptcy. IIRC, the capacity ended up being either 100 or 150, and Okobi's mansion ended up being "less than 80."

My chickens were flying up in the air trying to catch them the other night.

It was pretty hilarious.

My dog being totally perplexed on our walk this evening made me wonder. Kinda is bizarre when you think about it. Wonder what the purpose is to evolve to lighting up
