I get that the bicyclist technically had the "right of way", but he is still a jackass. Blows right through the stop sign on the bike path (it's there because it's supposed to be followed), takes both his hands off the handlebars, etc.

maybe I'm missing something but why does the bicyclist have the right of way? he's got a stop sign and the thoroughfare doesn't. clearly you don't want to give cars the "right" to just mow down a bike but I always believed that bikes had to follow all traffic rules, though most don't.I get that the bicyclist technically had the "right of way", but he is still a jackass. The bicyclist hit by a car while pedaling inside a crosswalk along the Pinellas Trail earlier this month had the right of way, according to a clarification issued Monday by the St. Petersburg Police Department.
