We ate there. The atmosphere is way better than the food. It’s super cool to hang out in there, but the food is just okay. Highly recommend staying on property though. We stayed at the Grand Californian and being able to walk out of your room directly to your own private (for hotel guests) DCA entrance was awesome.Just got official approval from ye boss to take the day off for my park reservations, so that's fun. I think I might do the lightsaber thing, that's really hard to pass on for a second run of GE. But i could definitely use some coaching up on using the app and securing ride reservations and maximizing our childless adult park enjoyment. I think I've been to Anaheim probably 7 or 8 times, and I've never done it 'right'.
We were considering getting a hotel room so we could eat dinner at The Blue Bayou. It would be the only reason we get a hotel room for this excursion. Worth it?
Also Blue Bayou was by far the most difficult reservation to get. I had to set up a reservation finder alert at mousedining.com.
