It takes 1.7 minutes to die from a shotgun to the head?

Lindsey Vonn is the worst. She is desperately trying to stay relevant, and clearly has a ton of baggage. She's perfect for Subban.

Trying to stay relevant...

I haven't heard a single peep about Vonn since the olympics ended, and really only heard anything about her the few months leading up to them. Before that it was crickets all the way back to the last olympics.

Doesn't that support the claim, though, since we're here talking about her?

To look deeper my guess is the parallel is being drawn to when she clung onto Tiger to keep in the public eye. Not that Subban draws a ton of press. Which makes sense since her 15 minutes are way past over.

Lies. You failed to mention the "dating Tiger Woods" phase.

She clung onto Tiger to keep in the public eye... are you even reading the words you're typing? They dated, it made press. She likely did not date him in search of press.

Dear Olympic Athletes,

Not impressed. Stay in your lane. It's bad enough we have to pretend you're relevant for three weeks twice a decade for fear of being called unpatriotic. Don't upset the whole being sandboxed dynamic and start to leak into the real world.

Warm Regards,
mikey

I truly do not understand the hate. All she did was start dating a guy, and somehow it's clinging to her 15 minutes (seconds?) of fame.

Hey, I was asked to comment. So I did. I had already forgotten her again until I clicked the thread and you were still talking about her.

Attachment issues, c2i?

I can't tell if I'm serious or not...I'm pretty sure I'm not. Dating P.K. Subban is fine, I don't look at dating a hockey player as a way to get attention really anyhow...though, isn't she like 40? Maybe she'll get to sing the anthem one day when they run out of country music singers to do it poorly...

They will build her a ski slope on the arena steps and have her ski down to center ice to deliver the puck.

Just bought a GoPro Hero for vacation, and didn't realize how small this thing is. I could easily see this somehow getting lost.
I got one for Christmas, I don't know where it is now...

A portion of the turnpike will be closed Sat night through Sunday morning because of bridge work in Somerset. The detour is listed as:

Eastbound traffic exiting in New Stanton will take Route 119 south (63 miles) to Route 40 east to Interstate 68 east (at Cumberland, Maryland) (65 miles) to Interstate 70 west (24 miles). Traffic will re-enter the turnpike at the Breezewood Interchange.

Why wouldn't they simply have eastbound traffic exit at Donegal and take route 31 into Bedford, then take 30 to Breezewood? Am I wrong in thinking that would be much simpler and shorter?

Seems like the interstate would be the path of least resistance in terms of safety and managing that level of traffic. I take 30 to Breezewood anyway, but for some yokel truck driver hauling a load of corn from Iowa to New York should probably just go ahead and stay on the interstate as long as possible.

This is a case of the locals knowing better and treat everyone else with kid gloves.

Yeah, I agree. That said, if that's me, I would go the other way and head up 119 to 30 and just take it east to Bedford. Those trucks are going to be clogging up 40.
