We did a private boat tour in the evening and got to watch fireworks from the water, that was a very cool way to do it.

Just a random piece of Disney advice, if anyone in your party has any sort of disability even something minor you can qualify for the disability pass. My brother in law has diabetes, and he qualified for it. We could schedule every ride, and basically had unlimited lighting lane

Our kids were 3 and 5 when we went to Disney. The 3 year old was still doing afternoon naps. This was maybe a once in a lifetime event, so we powered through. Both kids were acting like they were tripping on acid and full of speed by 8PM, it was pretty funny. Once we got in the car, they were zonked immediately.

Followup advice: don't abuse that system. Disney used to be even more accommodating to guests with disabilities but had to rework their policies after multiple third party services showed up where you could basically rent a wheelchair or hire a handicapped person to be your "guide" for the day.

You used to go straight through the exit line to the boarding area. Now they give you a return ticket for the exact length of the standby line. 2 hour wait for Flight of Passage? You'll get a return time for 2 hours so it's basically like you waited in line without obviously having to go through the queue.

Just got official approval from ye boss to take the day off for my park reservations, so that's fun. I think I might do the lightsaber thing, that's really hard to pass on for a second run of GE. But i could definitely use some coaching up on using the app and securing ride reservations and maximizing our childless adult park enjoyment. I think I've been to Anaheim probably 7 or 8 times, and I've never done it 'right'.

We were considering getting a hotel room so we could eat dinner at The Blue Bayou. It would be the only reason we get a hotel room for this excursion. Worth it?
We ate there. The atmosphere is way better than the food. It’s super cool to hang out in there, but the food is just okay. Highly recommend staying on property though. We stayed at the Grand Californian and being able to walk out of your room directly to your own private (for hotel guests) DCA entrance was awesome.

Also Blue Bayou was by far the most difficult reservation to get. I had to set up a reservation finder alert at mousedining.com.
Mrs Tif did a work thing at Disney Institute in the Before Times and got to stay at the Grand Californian. She said it was quite the place.

When we get a room we usually book the Residence Inn on Katella. It's literally across the street from CA and like a block from the Main Gate. Anaheim isn't like Orlando, you've got things and places that aren't Disney really close to the park(s). Of course, that can be both good and bad.

It' a beautiful hotel. We were in honeymoon mode so we spared no expense but yeah there are a ridiculous amount of hotels around the DL area. The upsides to staying on property are the exclusive entrance into DCA and Downtown Disney, I believe extra magic hours are back, and preferred dining reservations. And for us, we like feeling in that Disney bubble. I was concerned because I knew Anaheim wasn't like WDW at all and there were a lot of things around the park but in Grand Californian you still felt like you were separated from all the other hubbub.

I literally burst out laughing, which is unfortunate because I was eating a bowl of chili.

The reverse angle is less funny but just as much plant/growy.

By the way, park hopping at Disneyland > park hopping at WDW. By a mile. Also, Disneyland has a better Pirates, Hunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Small World, and Big Thunder. The only ride I can think of that WDW does better is Splash Mountain.

That's my neighborhood. The park he's riding by at the beginning of the clip is Orcutt Ranch; my best friend got married there, and Mrs Tif and I go there for walks all the time. F**k that guy. He wasn't even being pursued, just out dickbagging it on a stolen ride. I hope the car people are okay, but motorsickle assmunch can swallow battery acid for all I care.
