I believe "stan" is referencing the Eminem song about an obsessive fan, and means that.

Also, we are going to a cookout today hosted by the lady that bought our old house. I've never set foot in a place I used to live after moving out before. It feels a little weird.

That would be weird. The closest I’ve come to that is looking at real estate listing pictures of the house I grew up in. Very, very strange.

Yeah, I've thought about that...especially having kids now, and thinking about the spot where she took her first steps, where I used to sit with her at bedtime, etc. A lot of emotional ties to places.
