There are like 90 days a year that I would never schedule a trip to NOLA, and the third week of September is seven of them.

So, in a rare stroke of luck, you were kind of right but for the wrong reasons...Houston (my connection) is where everyone has drowned apparently. So to avoid any possible situation where I don't make it, they routed me up to Newark to fly direct to NOLA and avoid the connection. No charge, paid for my train, United club pass...shorter flight. I lose about two hours of time in NOLA...but I'm getting some HH time with friends who work in Newark, so it's basically a wash...

Got a Ring Neighbor alert where they posted a video of a police raid on the condos. That made me wonder how police handle new technology. I wonder how many criminals buy Ring doorbells just to give themselves a few seconds head start on being raided. I know there was a little controversy earlier this year with Ring and their partnership with law enforcement:

I am most certainly not okay with my videos being shared with police without my express written concent.
