They would just yell my name any time they saw me around the reception. Apparently 10 AM was too early of a start in their eyes and thought I wasn't going to make it. One of my buddies said I was only about 25% lolololol

There is one very specific way that would be incredible and probably end up with my heart giving out.
Any other way that ends would be not nearly as good as imagined so hard pass.

Thought it'd sound more like stirring mac and cheese and less like nagging...

They picked the wrong Miami Vice Ferrari. The Aston Martin for me, please.
I mean, I know the Daytona was actually a Corvette with a body kit. But the conceit of the show was that it was the real deal, and that's my favorite car of all time, so that's clearly the correct choice.
Otherwise, I'll have the DB5.

I'm going with James Bond though the 70's kid in me would be eyeing the Starsky and Hutch.

Most tournaments I go to often have some sort of media gift whether it's a koozie, tumbler, or maybe a shirt. At the 3M Open, we got this...

Also, there was a pretty good high-speed chase yesterday. Started sorta kinda in our neighborhood, and ranged 30 miles south. Suspect topped 100 mph multiple times (which is the state of play in 2020 that a guy could zoom down the 405 at 6pm and get above 30 mph for any extended period), and even topped 80 mph going the wrong way on surface streets. He even managed to outlast almost all the air support as both police and news helos kept running out of fuel. They announced early on that the identity of the driver was known to LAPD, but they didn't say why or how, and they haven't released any further information since his arrest after the 2-hour chase.

What ever happened to those...? They were on TV all the time in the 90's, no? Was it like not showing streakers at sporting events, just stop glorifying it...?

They still show them on TV all the time here. I think in the year-and-a-half we've been back in LA they've averaged 1 or 2 a month (and that's just the ones that make it on TV).What ever happened to those...? Nothing to do? Bored with no live sports? Why not try watching sumo? The Japan Sumo Association is holding a tournament right now, and you can watch daily digests here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCErxT8 ... EwMCDrcHBg
Makuuchi is the top division and Juryo is the second division.

Picking out a desk for my home office is hard. I've looked at every conceivable style and nothing really jumps out at me. The one form factor I've really liked the most only comes in the 'reclaimed wood' style that has the same texture and finish as the driftwood that shows up on the beach after a hurricane.

I probably looked at 200 different desks a few month or so ago. The space where my desk is currently located is about 2" too narrow for the majority of them, so I said **** it, moved my printer to a cabinet nearby, bought a dual monitor mount and rolled with it.Picking out a desk for my home office is hard. With the new work from home thing being a real possibility to be a longterm thing, we're looking at a test as well. My wife is all set up in the basement with her desk and computer and everything, I'm looking at something small for our spare bedroom. Might just buy a cheapo from amazon or something and call it quits as I'm currently on a card table.
