In other news, things are going to get real interesting for the couple in Philly who started a GoFundMe for a homeless guy that raised $400k. Point being, it’s not up to them to play moral guardians here. They raised the money, now hand it over. What he does with it is his business. I hope he gets the money, cleans up, and moves in next door to them.

I think they intended to scam him the entire time, to be honest. They probably thought “he can’t/won’t do anything if we just give him a few bucks here and there”. But it’s backfiring beautifully right now.

A couple face charges after police allegedly found them undressed, unconscious and in the midst of a sex act along an Altoona street.

Mark W. Jefferson, 28, of North Versailles, and Kelsey M. Kuhn, 29, of Pittsburgh, are both charged by Altoona police with open lewdness and public drunkenness stemming from an alleged incident on the 4500 block of Sixth Avenue in the early morning hours of Aug. 12. A passing motorist called police to report two people passed out, naked along the side of the road.

According to the charges, when officers arrived at the scene about 1:45 a.m., they found Jefferson passed out, naked and on his back. Kuhn was passed out beside him and face down on the ground with her skirt pulled up, exposing her underwear and part of her buttocks to passing traffic. A plastic bag containing two bottles of beer was sitting beside the pair, police added.

Police said Kuhn had her hand on Jefferson’s crotch.

Police said they had trouble waking the pair, and when Jefferson did come to, he struggled with officers and had to be hit with a blast of pepper spray.

In addition to the open lewdness and public drunkenness charges, Kuhn was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, and Jefferson was charged with resisting arrest.

The pair was released after their arrest and charged by summons. A preliminary hearing for Kuhn is scheduled for Wednes­day, while Jefferson is slated to appear at Central Court on Sept. 19.

Update on the homeless man/GoFundMe $400k story: All $400k is gone

A lawyer for Johnny Bobbitt, the homeless man whose kindness to a stranger inspired a $400,000 GoFundMe campaign, said Tuesday that all of the money raised for his client is gone.

Chris Fallon said he learned of the missing money in a conference call Tuesday morning with lawyers for Kate McClure and Mark D'Amico, the Burlington County couple accused of mismanaging the money raised for Bobbitt.
