We used to use glue traps, but rats would just gnaw their way out of them. Usually leaving a paw behind.

We used to patch and fill holes with steel wool - the bastards can eat through wood and sheetrock, but not steel.

I'm not sure if mice are as rugged.

I've killed three mice in the last three weeks. Twice with traps on my kitchen counter and one in the drawer. We typically get maybe one a year so this mini outbreak is mildly alarming.

The one I got last night... Two hours earlier I was actually face to face with him for a few seconds when I surprised him in the kitchen... Felt a sliver of guilt. I'm afraid we are going to have to pull our stove out soon... Dreading that.

Well this is **** weird. No BS....

I had a dream last night and all I can remember is that I saw 2 mice in a corner behind a radiator and you tossed in a grenade to take care of it. Not even joking...

For those suggesting we get a cat...I grew up with cats, but my wife is deathly allergic. The first time she came to my parent's house, she started breaking out in hives and wheezing. soo...yeah.

The Tomcat Mouse Traps are by far the best mouse traps I have ever worked with. Extremely easy to set, and I've never had one instance where the mouse has gotten the peanut butter without setting the trap off.

I hate those old Victor traps. It's an effing hair trigger trying to set the thing and it feels like you are defusing a bomb. Plus, if you set it to not be sensitive enough, they can easily get the treat without setting them off.

I like the hair trigger of the Victors. No escaping if you know how to set them right.

Police are looking for a suspect near my house. K9 alerted in the house 2 doors down. So much **** going down right now.

The **** who lives there deals drugs and we've seen him beat his GF in the alley.

I think the obvious solution for shad is to get a cat and a new wife. Or a combo of the two

What type of area are you in? The safest direction to point a weapon is where it would potentially do the least amount of damage if accidentally discharged. 'Up' might be best where you are.

I finally watched the remodel show where they redid the house I lived in for seven and a half years in Mississippi.

Weird to see tbh.

Not sure how I feel about it.

Was that Home Town?

It's funny, Mrs Tif has a friend who was on House Hunters, and I went to cooking school with a guy who was featured on two different 'Crasher' shows on DIY. They have some fun stories.

Yep. Home Town.

If you look at the episode titles from season 4 it's not hard to figure out which house.

I know they play things up for TV but I had just as many in that house, plus they don't talk about it but they cut down all of my fruit trees that I carefully cultivated.

I've caught two mice in the house in the past couple weeks. One with a Tomcat brand old-style trap under the sink, the other with a shop vac, because it was hiding from one of our cats - under a radiator.

I could see it happening now, especially, since home basically constitutes as the office and if you're on autopilot you probably don't realize it until you're an hour in.

What’s the modern day equivalent of ripping the phone cord out of the wall? In The Before Times, that’s what I did when I was on PTO.
