My only gripe is that the former Devil Rays (now just Rays) aren't the same thing as stingrays, so the Marlins are wrong.
They are in the same family, at least.

Pardon, not Family. Order.

Point being, it's not like they accused them of being skates.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.

So a friend's son friend, a recent honors high school graduate, was mugged and shot while delivering pizzas. As he got out of his car, he was attacked by three teenagers, who tried to throw him into the back seat of his car. The police are quietly speculating that this was a gang initiation, and they intended to take the driver out to into the woods and kill him. None of that has been released publicly, of course - and I went to a community police briefing a few months ago where someone asked about local gangs (we have buildings and signs that get tagged a lot), and they basically called them wannabe losers.

The driver fought off his attackers, but got shot in the leg. While he was on the ground, one of the attackers shot at him again and the bullet ricocheted off the ground inches from his face. He has to get about 3" of his leg cut off, and won't be able to join the Marine Corps because of the injury. Ugh.
Oh man.

A.good friend of mine shared that story in a private FB group I'm in. They are connected to the family somehow.

Food delivery is a dangerous job, i used to do it In college. The place I worked at took a lot of precautions, but one time I got into it with the manager when he wanted to send me on a n obvious bait trip. He ended up coming with me and walking up from the other direction and spooked the kids that were trying to ambush the driver.

Did anyone at work ask for this? Nope.

Am I going to give it to them? Yep.

My train home was the last one to make it home before most service was suspended thanks to the 64,398th thunderstorm of the year.

Crowders Mountain view is pretty impressive, but getting up there kicked my rear.

Saw a fellow Pitt fan and we commiserated about Rashad Weaver.

Here's Ming Na-Wen appearing on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood back in the day.

Her family still owns the Chinatown Inn restaurant downtown, too.

A regular spot for me 25-ish years ago when I still lived in the 'Burgh. Loved that place. I'm glad to hear it's still around.
