Wait until @Freddy Rumsen starts eating his local peaches in July. He (and I) are in the middle of peach country - soooo good.

When yinz visit Myrtle or Hilton Head, go find the SC peaches - especially the freestone varieties available in early July - late August.

I can vouch for these in the Hilton Head area. They're so damn good.

If all fruits were presented in peak form, I don't think any would compare to pineapple or mango. I had a mouth orgasm eating mango in Thailand. The other patrons at the restaurant wanted what I was having.

Bananas are extremely very good but come on apples are the winner here

I'll listen to a sell job on oranges as the superior fruit (or various citrus counsins of the orange) bc peak orange beats peak apple, but average apple beats average orange
Some gr8 takes in this post right here.

Sidebar: this has been a bad minneola season thus far. Damn Chinese and their orange killing fungus
Clementines are currently in an impressive comeback after being ass for most of January. Last three or four bags we got have been extremely very lavish
Clementines are for women who like tiny versions of good things becuase they are cute (i.e. tiny dogs instead of real dogs, tiny oranges instead of good oranges, etc) and/or women who dont have the fortitude or patience to peel a real orange.
They are also very big hits with kids who can peel them easily.

That said, I am concerned that you are not acknowledging them being very good. I celebrate the entire citrus fruit catalog.

They aren't very good. Are they OK? yes. Are they better than a standard navel orange? Yes. But I like quality citrus and I like citrus that is also a good value. you have to pay a premium for clementines because big citrus markets them to children and impressionable women

We had formed a citrus alliance, but decrying clementines as "ok" is a fissure that may not be one we can overcome. Work with me kenneth.

I mean I wouldn't buy one but if someone put a clementine in front of me I would eat it

does that work?

Your proposal is under consideration by the Citrus Alliance.

I had two clementines at lunch... the first was far more delicious than the second.

Yinz must have some unsophisticated palates if you can’t taste the difference between a clementine and an orange.

And also the mango salad.
One of the recipes in the cooking class we did in Vietnam was green mango salad with banana blossoms. First time I had ever had green mango or banana blossoms. Was good, much yum.

There is also something about the combination of fish sauce, sugar, and chiles in the dressing that's just.................. well, I mean I know where I'm going for lunch now.

While I quite like Panda Express, this is a poor example of reading comprehension and understanding of context clues, imo.
