Congrats!Welp, I pulled the trigger on a mint RX100 VII on eBay at $811. Once I get it, I guess I’ll be using it to take photos of my old gear that I’ll be listing. Isn’t there a well known (ironic me asking this) website that photographers use to unload their gear? I’m willing to give other sites a shot to avoid eBay’s fees.
When I buy used or sell, I usually hit up FredMiranda. You could also try KEH but they're resellers so you probably wouldn't get as much.

Shame, Goldenthal has some really good credits to his name, including I think a couple Oscar nominations. Might be the only objectively good part of Alien3.Just finished re-watching Heat last night actually. So good, but the soundtrack/scoring is a little grating to my 2023 ear.

I had never seen it, and turned it on a couple weeks ago.
Didn’t end up getting though it. The De Niro love interest plot line was completely baffling. Wait, this girl is just enthralled with this guy after he is a complete dick to her, and now he is ready to uproot his whole mantra of being. As far as I could tell, that’s what was happening, but couldn’t accept it.

Yeah, some of that dialogue between Brenneman and Deniro made no sense. You could see at the gangsters' party or whatever that Deniro's character needed to find something else besides his crew and robberies, and Brenneman's character was convenient. I forgot Natalie Portman was in it, and totally forgot her whole storyline. But the capers, all location (no soundstages) shooting, and of course the massive gun battle in downtown LA are awesome. Those parts hold up really well, and you see the imprint that had on other filmmakers.
Also, how is Ted Levine only 37-38 while filming Heat? He looks like he's in his 50s lol

Yeah, I didn’t get to the good scene, the opening scene was also really cool.
The stakeout scene was also hilarious, like 8 guys sitting on the roof watching them come out of the restaurant. Lol

Reddit is going to start charging $12k per 50m API calls, which means that virtually every single 3rd party app will be affected, and likely eliminated. Twitter announced a similar policy a few months ago, at $40k per 50m. Reddit’s native app is hot garbage, so I guess I’ll be eliminating all of my mobile browsing once Apollo goes away.

I plan on taking some random photos this weekend with both cameras to compare them and see if this switch is going to work out. Probably could have just rented one locally for this, but I imagine that I'll be pleased with the results. I honestly may look for a case that adds a grip on the right because it just feels... weird... holding this one. This has a shutter count of under 3k, and is in mint condition.
