I read The Stranger a few years ago on a plane ride home and it was tedious. It does have a good ending though.

I've done both a hot plate and a regular stove. my building has a full kitchen but during COVID they moved my office to an auxiliary building so I had to use a hot plate to make my morning coffee. I'm back in the main building now so just using the stove in the kitchen again.
