Got a random text from a 717 number, reaching out asking if we are looking to sell our home. This is the second or third time I have gotten a message like this in the last year.

i get these 2-3 times a day

Same. I always say “yes for a million. firm. I know what I have”

Got a letter in the mail from my own mortgage company telling me that they could save me money with a 5% refinance loan. Nah, I’ll stick with my 1.75%.

Another thing that irks me? We've gotten about seven solicitations in the mail for mortgage insurance marked "urgent" or "time sensitive mortgage documents." This isn't PMI or anything to do with the lender, just a third party selling insurance on our mortgage. The people who bought our house (and immediately changed their mailing address even though we were renting it back for a month) got about the same amount during the first few weeks after we closed.

What's crazy is our loan amount was clearly visible in the window of a couple of them. How do they get that number? Feels predatory.

Mortgage filings are public records, dawg. And yes the $ amount of the mortgage is public. Very easy for a business to get info on every single home closing in a very short period of time.

And yes it is shady

This could go in any number of threads, but given the randomness, this seems right.

At some point earlier this year, random Hello Fresh boxes started showing up at my Grandfather's house. He didn't order them, none of the family did. They have someone else's name we don't know on it, but my Grandfather's address.

The first couple my dad took, but it got to the point where they couldn't use all the food. He gave at least one box to a neighbor.

He tried calling Hello Fresh about it and they didn't seem to care, they were getting paid after all. I am assuming these were being sent intentionally as the person paying for them would be screaming about not getting their food otherwise right?

Well, I was just down there earlier with my cousin to move some furniture and there was suddenly another one sitting there, and dear lord did it reek.

According to my dad these typically showed up on Wednesdays so that means this was probably there for a few days.

It's not costing us anything, but so weird.

Well this clown was sitting at an angle at a stop sign forcing him into my lane as I was making a left turn. Said get the **** out of the way as I was going by. He must have heard me, stopped his truck, pulled a u turn in the middle of the road, and came back into the parking lot. I parked and began walking in attempting to avoid him. He parks near the front, gets out yellin, you got something to say to me in one of the most mouth breathing, double IQ score inbred voices I've ever heard. Told him he was in my way, which he followed up with **** you, you're a piece of **** on repeat. He had to say it at least 4 times. I told him to have a nice rest of his day and proceeded to enter the store.
