There was an Amish place up in Smicksburg, PA that used to make a Caramel Apple Walnut pie that was unreal. Not sure if it's still up there, but it was heavenly. My grandma always made rhubarb and shoofly pie and I enjoyed both.

I know one of the largest pecan growers in the Southwest and he always says "pee-can is something you put under your bed, puh-con is what we grow on trees."
