He hand picks the weeds, but doesn't put them in a leaf bag or the trash? Yeah, sounds like he has an issue with you not mowing your lawn as often as he does. I fully support relocating his weeds back to his lawn, and a camera. Do you have a mower? If so, wait until your grass gets nice and high, then start mowing from close to your house towards his yard, always moving with the discharge aimed at his lawn. See if he needs extra nutrients in his lawn from your grass clippings.

Similar thing. At the old house our neighbor got his lawn cut about once a week or two by a service. The service was just an old guy and occasionally his wife that drove around in a minivan with a mower and trimmer. The guy would pick up sticks from my neighbors yard and throw them into ours. My wife caught him one day and went nuts.
When I mowed I'd just toss them back over the line, but my wife took it personally.

If this works on him, you can probably put a cardboard cutout of yourself standing on his lawn and he'd call the cops saying you are refusing to leave his property. And really, the camera would be a requirement here, because I want to see the video of it going down.Source of the post I wonder how much it would be to rent the biggest, clearest piece of glass for a week...just lean that invisible force field up against your fence until a couple of mushrooms bounce back and hit him right in his dumb mouf

Next time he goes on vacation, find the most invasive weed/vine you can find and plant it throughout his entire property.I have this weird passive-aggressive thing going on with my neighbor.
He is obsessive about mowing his lawn. He cuts it twice a week, and it's so short that he burns the grass and there are bare spots. I do think it's a mental illness.
Meanwhile, I pay a dude every three weeks to cut the lawn. I just can't be arsed to do it more than that.
Anyway, before he cuts his lawn he hand weeds (especially early in the spring). I watched from my garage as he threw clumps of weeds onto my lawn. For some reason, I didn't even think to confront him on it. I just thought it was odd. Subsequently, I've found odd clumps of weeds on my lawn since then, but I haven't seen him throw them there directly.
Yesterday, as I backed out of my driveway, I noticed he had a few mushrooms growing on his lawn due to the rain we've had the last few days. Big, Mario Brothers sized ones. My wife also noticed them a few hours later.
I pull in my driveway at 6, and there they all are dug up and thrown into my lawn. About 6-7. It's obvious they weren't growing in my lawn, as they were not stuck in the ground and just sitting on the grass.
I mean, wtf is wrong with this guy? I get throwing the occasional weed, as I won't even notice it. But huge white mushrooms? I think he thinks because my grass isn't cut to a 1/4 inch height twice a week that we don't care about it or something.
I threw them back on his lawn this morning. dadhole.
I rarely see the guy, but the next time I do, I intend on asking him WTF. I might even put a security camera to watch his ass.

Maybe, I planted trumpet vines that have grown up and over my pergola for a cool natural barrier, but they are taking over my neighbors yard and I haven't found a way to kill them without hurting the grass. Luckily she is older and I take care of her yard for her, but it's getting bad.Eddy are you my neighbor? This vine has totally taken over my yard. It's enraging

Outstanding. That's still my favorite theme song from any of the cartoons I watched as a child. Thundercats is probably #2.

If he is a mentally ill old dadhole, why not just threaten him or beat him up? That would work with me and I'm a grass nut mentally ill old dadhole. Doubt if the cops want to be bothered with that.I have this weird passive-aggressive thing going on with my neighbor.

But if he's mentally ill what's to say he won't try to beat DG66 with a shovel if DG threatens him?

Then at least it'll be on camera and possibly live-streamed to 5AF...

I like the idea that the old guy throwing mushrooms is mentally ill but the younger guy throwing them back is stable.

Get random seeds of flowers and grasses and what not and seed his yard every day for a couple weeks. Just wait til nightfall and toss the seeds over the fence.
Or you could get a hand pump thing full of bleach and spritz it across his lawn. (Again, from the cover of your own side of the fence)

Maybe he's just trying to mentally stabilize him using a shovel.
