Just placed my first Costco/Instacart order after seeing that delivery was free.
Is the free delivery a temporary service, only applies for orders > $X, within a certain mile radius, or what? Because if they start offering free delivery, imma look at joining.

$35 minimum, which is easy to hit at Costco, but look at my last post. Some of the items are definitely priced higher than in-store.

I was actually looking at Instacart this morning for a Publix order. It actually says on the landing screen that Publix's prices are higher for Instacart than in store. I find that to be true for Doordash/Grubhub as well.

You're right, DG. I do see that disclaimer in the pricing policy link. Still, no regrets. Saved me a trip when I needed the stuff.

Absolutely. I'm definitely going to use it for Costco during the summer. Ours is right dead in the middle of beach traffic, and it's pretty rough getting in and out of in the off season on weekends.

Got a big box of those Jamaican beef pies, which are like little empanadas. So good.

If I'm really bored and in the mood for finding some cost cuts, I may revisit the Costco idea. My problem is there is no Costco or Sam's Club within a 25 minute drive of me. I already use 2 stores (3 if you include the meat I buy once every 2-3 months from a butcher) for grocery shopping, don't want to add a 3rd.

mrs meow exclusively does our grocery shopping and she refuses to shop around for things. Which I’m fine with. Publix and a butcher is all we use

I totally do not take enough advantage of Costco. I go like 4 or 5 times a year and basically just walk around; my last purchase (still) was an cookbook.

I once went into Costco for a single item - a slice of pizza - on the way home from being out.

Queen Colby spent a couple weeks pay at Costco earlier this week, luckily we have enough laundry detergent to wash the entire neighborhoods clothes for a year.

Although... she had her tires replaced there about a year ago and drove over a nail the other day - patch job fully covered under 60,000 mile warranty, and if they would have had to replace the whole tire, they prorate a credit for the amount of "usable tire" remaining

Do yo have to 'in' a Costco to get the pizza? Every one I've been to it's an outside walkup next to the entry.

I have only ever been to two Costco's, but neither had an outdoor walkup. With both, you have to enter the building to access the cafe.

It was an honest question. NTP was bragging about how his doorbell worked when it was cold, I was curious if the pizza did, too.

Do your Costcos close at 6 on Saturdays? That's kind of early tbh.
