Guy in front of me at grocery store was doing everything in his power to wire hundreds of dollars to a scam in Nigeria. The lady working did everything she could to tell him you aren't going to get rich from this because it's a scam. He wanted to hear nothing about it. He also had a mullet, but was about 70% bald in top. It was glorious.

I have a co-worker that does this. He prefaces every subject line with 're:' whether it's a reply or not. I *think* he believes he's using it in the context of 'regarding' but all sane people understand that space usage is short for 'Reply.'

I've apparently been randomly selected to participate in the National Crime Victimization Survey, and I've even got a survey person leaving voicemail message on my work phone. I should have thought that after I refused to send in the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, the fedgov would have marked me down as someone who doesn't answer those sorts of surveys, but I guess they didn't.

My wife received a text, from a co-worker regarding another coworker who went into labor over the weekend.

"They went to the hospital, but the baby is stillborn."

My wife was distraught, cried for a half hour. (She's a better person than me.)

Got a follow up text: "Oops, sorry, autocorrect...baby is still waiting to be born."

I feel like that was a really horrible attempt at some sort of bad humor and she backtracked with the autocorrect. Because how many wrong buttons do you have to press to get stillborn out of still waiting to be born

Just bad timing. It's the week of my dead MIL's birthday and we went to a funeral for someone on that side of the family this morning. My wife just completely ran out of tolerance for sad things and broke down. She's fine now.
