people that want to deposit cash?
I withdraw cash from my credit union and deposit it at pnc.

I know I could link them together but the transfers take too long.
How long do they take for you? My experience with my credit union is if it's under four figures the full amount is available within a day. Over that, no more than 2 days.

What are you doing with that money that you can't wait 2 days, mac??????
Usually it's not me. It's my wife. and it involves spending money and not telling me, and then me paying a bill. :lol:

The bank has to make the first 5,000 available by the second business day. Though some kinds of deposits have next day availability that would trump the dollar amount threshold.

Also, if you deposit cash at the teller, it should next day, but cash deposited through an ATM has the extra hold.

In my experience, all cash is almost immediately available.

I don't see why a bank would hold a cash deposit at the teller. An ATM cash deposit will available the next day.

This entire situation is bizarre to me.

Why not write yourself a check and mobile deposit it? Those funds are almost immediately available and you don't have to drive to two different banks.

my situation is that I think I have 3 or 4 different banks and use different banks for different things. I usually forget that I have mortgage due and have to get cash in there before the grace period ends and the cash goes in right away. I use mobile deposit for just about everything though. I also don't use checks

I use my credit union for direct deposit, and pay my mortgage from that account. I transfer from there to my other banks, which is definitely a little more efficient than what you're doing, IMO.

yeah, that's way more efficient, but definitely not as fun as forgetting to pay, running to the bank at the last minute to manually withdrawal and deposit at other bank, then calling the other bank and making up excuses of how my plane got stuck in tierra del fuego and I couldn't get back in time to process funds.

I was trying to avoid coming out and saying it but my account was overdrawn. So I had to hurry it up. There. Ya punks

I am in York County but we are on Gastonia water so the Rockhill stuff does not affect us.
