We went to the Flight 93 memorial yesterday for the first time since the new memorial opened up. They did a fantastic job on it IMO and it really does a great job at remembering the victims. The visitor center/history area is awesome as well and tells a great story. They had everything from artifacts from the crash as well as recorded voicemails from family members of the victims. Talk about a tough pill to swallow listening to those in a crowded room. I recommend it to anyone looking for a day trip from the Burgh.
Visited today and it is exceptionally well done. The observation deck is really powerful. The whole site is just very superbly designed and executed.

I couldn't take my Mom out on Mothers Day because I was taking care of my wife going through her first MD alone. So to 'make up' for it I took my Mom up to Jean Bonnet Tavern for dinner and we stopped at the 93 Memorial. Wanted to see the Tower of Voices which I mistakenly thought was completed, but it won't be opened until 9/8/18. The progress they've made in the last few years is impressive.

Was a really nice evening.

I love the Jean Bonnet Tavern. Their bacon wrapped scallops are just about the best thing ever.

One of my seniors last year wanted photos at the Memorial. Not because it had any significance to her, but because she liked the architecture. I thought it was in poor taste, but the park gave her approval.

Yeah that's very weird to me. Would she have even been born yet on actual 9/11?

She'd have been 1 or 2 most likely. And she didn't use anything that would be distinctive as "Flight 93 Memorial", but wanted photos at one of the walkways, in front of some of the generic walls, etc. Even someone who's visited the memorial probably wouldn't recognize the backgrounds, but, yeah, it was a little weird.

I took my wife and daughter to the Duquesne incline the other day, both their first times. I had almost forgotten how much of a sweat box those cars can be on a sunny day. They loved the ride and views, though.

We try to swing by flight 93 memorial every year when go to the PA Maple syrup festival. It's been exciting seeing it come together from start to finish. I always get an emotional punch in the gut when standing there looking out. Hits me hard every time.

I got in a wreck a month and a half ago. Long story short I needed a new hood, headlight, fender, and corner panel on my passenger side. Took 24 days to repair so I got my car back three weeks ago today. Hit a deer this morning in the same exact effing spot. Like, nothing damaged to the extent it was before, but literally every new part on my car took some damage. I hope they can fix it and buff things out instead of wholesale replacements again.

These are my only two insurance claims in my 14 year history of driving. Oh and I changed insurance providers in April. Travelers has to love me

I feel you willeyeam. We just hit a deer last Wednesday and will need repairs to the bumper, corner panel and driver's side door. I didn't see the thing until it just about hit us.

Yeah sucks. Nothing you can really do. I saw it and braked as much as I could but it was just inevitable the way she ran out. Blah

Dreamed last night that I was an alter boy at a church and Tom Hanks was the priest. Not sure what to make of that.

No sex stuff, just administering communion. Hmmm.
