Stock went up 3% yesterday. This will all be forgotten in two weeks. The rebranding of IHOP is temporary. It's a marketing push to show that the restaurant is more than just breakfast.
However I don't think it's turning out as they'd hope.

Another day of me replacing the Polar Water bottle because whoever took the last glass of water was too freaking lazy to do so.
If I, a 60 year old woman, can replace the bottle so can anyone else on the floor. And don't give me that "I splash water everywhere when I do it!" crap. We have paper towels, clean it up. It's just water.
Just needed to vent. It happens practically every day.

You should replace it, fill your cup, and then put the empty one back on there. I’m not beneath doing that sort of thing.

Does your company employ interns? I find the greater the amount of whippersnappers, the greater the chance the water buffalo is empty when I go to use it.Another day of me replacing the Polar Water bottle because whoever took the last glass of water was too freaking lazy to do so.

My company does, but there are none on my floor. Just inconsiderate co-workers.

We have one of the coolers that the big water bottle sits on top of. I pull it off and water goes everywhere. You should replace it, fill your cup, and then put the empty one back on there. I’m not beneath doing that sort of thing.

Last day of work before Firefly
Between Firefly and the NHL Draft, I think I'll be in the office twice between now and the 26th of June...a distinct rarity for me...
(after which, I'll still have 30 days of vacation time left...)

We can carry over 20 vacation days, all of our sick time and any comp time we carry has to be manager approved and used by March 15th. Admin/Personal time is use it or lose it, by the end of the year.
I currently am sitting on about 35 vacation days, 130 sick days, and 3 days of Personal time.

Take a lot of half days. That's an effective way to use vacation days. My coworkers and I do that a lot in the summer. It's nice to leave early and get a head start on the weekend.Yeah I know, I tried a lot of different stuff and it didn't work out...lesson learned...I put up a good fight though...

I only get 15 days of PTO, but I work from home every Friday and don't really need to put in for half days. That helps a lot. Honestly, being able to WFH on Fridays is worth two weeks of PTO to me.

We get 10 vacation + 2 personal. Vacation rolls over but gets hard capped. Personals don't roll over.
I'm at around 55 hours of vacation (out of 75). I haven't actually used any yet.

We only have PTO, so sick, mental health, vacation and holidays are all pulled out of that. It’s hard capped at 320 hours, but it all rolls over. I accrue something like 8.65 hours every two weeks. People dodint about holidays coming out of it, but I could not care less.

I am presently going on my 82nd (consecutive!) day of un-paid PTO. ftw

IQ scores are falling and have been for decades, new study finds
https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/13/health/f ... index.htmlIQ scores have been steadily falling for the past few decades, and environmental factors are to blame, a new study says.
The research suggests that genes aren't what's driving the decline in IQ scores, according to the study, published Monday.
Norwegian researchers analyzed the IQ scores of Norwegian men born between 1962 and 1991 and found that scores increased by almost 3 percentage points each decade for those born between 1962 to 1975 -- but then saw a steady decline among those born after 1975.
Similar studies in Denmark, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Finland and Estonia have demonstrated a similar downward trend in IQ scores

I have 20 days vacation, 3 personal days, 9 holidays and 2 extra days for being on a team recognized for an achievement. I have a lot of days, and only 3 can roll over to the new year.
