Are there mattresses now that have active cooling or are they all passive cooling?

Some have toppers with cooling gel in them, but that’s about all I’ve seen.

I broke my own code and put up our Christmas decorations outside before December. The light bulb in Bumble’s star lasted 5 minutes before burning out, and the ground stakes are hilariously short, and pulled out of the base immediately. Also noticed that one of the cords provided was melted together like they broke it and didn’t want to replace it. That line snapped on the first inflation.

We put ours up this week.(finished last strand today) 1700 super bright LED lights all together...haha. Plus the inflatables in the yard.

Lots of work doing the icicle lights on the roof and wrapping four 15ft columns but it looks very nice.

@AuthorTony: I broke out my D750 for the first time in I swear a year. Completely forgot what half of the buttons did (I customized them to my liking).

Ha! I bought a Z6 earlier this year. After using a D700/D800 for years and years, getting used to new button placement was a huge pita. I still prefer my D800 but I'm around 270K clicks and I know the shutter's going out one of these days.

Moving this so no one gets mad at me.

Do you miss photography? I love the idea of it more than actually doing it any more. The change in the market sapped me of the enjoyment. I rarely even take photos for myself these days. I miss the art of it though.

I had an opportunity to train and do crime scene photography with the FBI. I did a lot of that kind of stuff with NCIS and the MP's. I miss that kind of thing and I still fret over taking well framed and lighted pics of my kids with my cheap Samsung phone.

I had fun with it when I did it but never got into it like friends of mine did.

we bought a Casper mattress about a year ago. loving it so far. we changed from a Tempur-pedic which for the price, should've been comfortable for longer, IMO.
it was a model from before they figured out they needed cooling tech so that damn thing slept hot as hell, especially in the GA Summer.

Thinking about the photography discussion in the other thread... For the first time in over 7 years of being parents, we got professional photos done yesterday.

It was actually a really cool backdrop...she rented an old school 60s VW bus, and decked it all out to be holiday themed with the pics in front of it. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out, the kids (and goldendoodle) were well behaved.

My coworker, who is also a photographer on the side, moved from Nikon to Sony mirrorless and always tells me to just make the switch. Seeing as how I barely touch my D750 these days, I don’t think it’s worth the investment for me. I really only do landscape photography while on vacation, so I wouldn’t benefit as much from it. Plus, having to buy all new glass scares me away.

I was concerned about there being a rush on toilet paper when I went shopping yesterday, but those fears thankfully proved to be unfounded. However, apparently there was a run on "real" worcestershire sauce, as they only had the store brand. Dafuq...

Our stores haven’t had paper towels in over a month, and toilet paper is extremely scarce.

Same. I was last able to buy toilet paper a month ago. I usually stay 6 weeks ahead so I'm okay, for 2 more weeks...

I was in Sam's club last weekend and there was plenty of TP and paper towels. Everyone was buying some but plenty left.

Sam’s over here has been empty, too. I wasn’t terribly worried, but our kittens have torn apart a full roll in the last two weeks, so I find myself yelling at them for destroying it.

We have a decent selection of toilet paper. I bought three shells just in case.

Inflatable decorations are lazy and, for the most part, ugly. There, I said it.

They can be done well but all too often are tacky. My neighbor puts up a giant M&M inflatable on his porch.

I do like the Bumble one above.
