We had, for about a week, a Scarlet Tanager hanging in our backyard. I'd never seen one and had to look up what it was. Absolutely gorgeous...almost neon red. It looked like it was glowing against the light green spring colors. I haven't seen him in about a week, so I think he's moved on. Still, glad he stopped by.

Internet pics for reference...couldn't ever catch him sitting still long enough to get a good pic

I've seen a few on my hikes, apparently those with the Oriole are are popping up throughout PA

Finally went over to the new neighbor on Saturday and told him if he's going to continue to run his AC, he should take the cover off of the unit.

"I was wondering why it wasn't getting very cool in here."

The guy installed a fence and walked past the thing 100 times. WTF

I look forward to him attempting to grill without first turning on the propane.

I'd caution him against igniting it and then closing the lid, letting it warm up, then realizing it didn't light. Then igniting again and having a fireball blow up at him and singeing his arm hair and eyebrows. Not that I know from experience or anything

I don't listen to Alex Jones, but I am aware of him. I rarely listen to Joe Rogan because it's just too much content. But I decided to search out some "best of" Joe Rogan pods to throw on in the background while watching some archived Russian hockey games...

I am two hours into this one:

And it is by far the best I've ever listened to in my life...I am cracking up...this Alex Jones guy (and I've heard clips of him from like John Oliver and what not) is unreal. He has a God damn conspiracy theory for everything. But not like a dorm room pot smoker...they're all like 8-10 layers deep. It's unreal. He may be the most creative mind I've ever heard. And then when Joe Rogan would try to pin him down (he generally let him run wild, they're friends) he would start a story about someone in his family knowing someone back in like Nazi Germany or whatever and then freeze and just go, "I'm not gonna get into it..." and then just finishes the conspiracy theory, but with none of the knowledge surrounding. It's incredible.

Just for the laughs and entertainment value, I'd definitely recommend listening to this...

Last time I checked this is the Randomness thread, not the "justify things to dodint thread".

At a glance everyone in that situation is better off than when they started.

Why are you even here if you don't have an opinion on the stuff you blindly dump into various threads? I politely asked a question about the issue you brought up and got a shitheel reply for it. This is the day Freddy Rumsen gets put in the nobody group for me, my fault for being so late to the party.

I apologize if that came off in that way.

Sometimes stuff is just dumped for the sake of dumping because I'm bored and scrolling Twitter.

It rarely has some purpose behind it, which is why there wasn't an abstract before it.

It isn't our concern. It's just showing what a horrendous person that woman is for using a child that way. Thankfully the child is in better hands now with someone that (probably) actually cares about them.

Should have used the child to talk sternly about global warming instead...

They got him high and brought Eddie Bravo to the podcast. That's a recipe for Alex Jones to go full Alex Jones. I think a couple days later Joe Rogan said, "we probably shouldn't have got him high."

 I finished listening to that this morning...it's just such solid gold. I didn't even realize he was high. I saw they were drinking a bit, but man alive...I would recommend that to anyone...that is just unfettered entertainment if I ever heard it...

I would have loved to gone out to eat with them afterwards too...just to hear how it continued...

I am so not a conspiracy theorist, but the ability to rapid fire these things, man alive...that's talent...

Probably EPP or Godric... I figured with the name and e-mail address that was probably the route it was going to go, but thought I'd be trusting instead. Of course that's the way it went.... of f*cking course.
