Are you coming out or what? While I already said I can't make it to anything that weekend...stubborn, sleepless me might consider flying out Thursday morning, catching four or five games and then flying back to Newark (it's closer to the location than Philly) on Friday to hit up the first wedding...the logistics are...painful and uneasy...but I'm a very stupid b****, so, stay tuned haha

Haha nah I can't. Nor would it be worth the hassle...most of my viewings are just going to be following around the USNTDP this year and scooping guys that play on random USHL teams in the process. I'm in the process of making my itinerary for the next six months, gonna take me a couple weeks...but I can't make Pittsburgh this weekend. I'm gonna focus on getting hammersteined at these weddings, have a good time and let this be the cap to my summer...all work after that.

Sorry to disappoint (?), I would have hit you up if I was coming out...
I always come out once or twice a year for a game, particularly in the playoffs...you'll know it's getting close to that time when Waffles starts wafflesposting again...
Or perhaps I'll come out to get some James Conner gear... #h2p

Hah. I was more perplexed about wanting to go to weddings; but that's probably more of a function of being a single dude than anything else. They're boring af for me. I'd much rather watch a bunch of bad hockey than a wedding.

I was looking through some PowerShell scripts to perform some functions, and came across one that had me scratching my head going 'who the **** wrote this?'. I did.
Scripting is one area where you can very easily tell how much you've progressed over time by simply looking at your old scripts.

Just watched a pigeon desperately trying to outmaneuver a hawk outside my window at work.

Walking back to my car after the Pens preseason game on Sunday, I saw a pigeon that most likely had just slammed into a window and had a broken neck. It was trying to fly away but its head was not cooperating. Was a very awkward conversation with my 4 year old who saw the poor thing. If my son wasn't there I may have helped put the bird out of its misery.Just watched a pigeon desperately trying to outmaneuver a hawk outside my window at work.

Oops.
I was showing my daughter a decent sized hawk in our yard last year when I realized that it had a squirrel in its claws. "Daddy, what is it carrying?" Uhh, chestnuts...

I have a picture, albeit not great quality, of a vulture carrying a fish. Which is rare since vultures typically eat dead animals. Also if you use instagram I suggest following "natureismetal_", would not suggest for children.

I just told him the pigeon was a Flyers fan and he was cool with it.
That's a decent close up on the hawk. Is that with zoom?

Nah, that's a crop of my POS iPhone 6S's camera. I didn't have time to grab my DSLR to get an actual quality shot. It flew off with the squirrel about 10 seconds later.

We watched some kind of raptor eating a lesser bird at the Japanese Garden in Encino a few years ago. That was a hoot, circle of life going on in a Zen garden.

My wife always says that to me. "Why do you watch animals eating each other?" That's **** nature, woman, and it's beautiful in its own way.
