I always end up with this one in my head somehow-I've had this song stuck in my head all day but haven't heard it in over a year
I read that in one my history classes.Out of this Furnace is so goodThe most interesting thing I've learned is that divorce is genetic. On that same line I was talking about it goes like this:
gg-grandfather - divorced in the 1910s. (Unheard of back then, he was a drunk)
grandfather - divorced
father - divorced
myself - happy and unafraid
My maternal grandfathers journey was the cliche hunky story. If you've read Out of this Furnace you know it pretty well. I was fortunate enough to track down their ship manifests and track them back to their original village in modern day Slovakia. Hope to visit there one day.
Funny thing is I have historical research training and am super meticulous, so I'm very confident in my findings. My sister also uses Ancestry but doesn't do the due diligence so I don't trust her tree.

You have no enemies here.I just dont want to broadcast exactly where I will be living.
And that comic looks nothing like me...
Observatory Hill? Or Perry South? Avoid both. LOLlol, close enough. Just on the border between Noth Side and Brighton Heights. The street was terrible until the last block when it looked alright. Then, across the street, it was amazing. I am always shocked at how abrupt gentrification is in terms of it's borders.
Congratulations on finding a place! We found a place. We're just waiting for the application to be approved/denied.

I already live in the tri state area....unless those states are PA, WV, and OH...There goes the tri-state area....
Do you think I'm bald?Does the comic have too much hair?
Honest question: what part of the story did you like so much? This gentleman read the book and while this gentleman is glad to have read it, it kind of left a lot to be desired.Out of This Furnace is one of the most important books in my life. I reread it every few years to ground myself. A professor at CMU found it in the 70s and had it reissued and I had it assigned to me at SVC. I'm so grateful for that.
.
Everything up until when Michael starts doing the union work. The part of the experience I can never really know. Besides, when I hear the Irish whine about being stepped on it gives me license to roll my eyes.Source of the post Honest question: what part of the story did you like so much?
