I assume everyone in the surrounding counties will be at the tree farm today.

Luckily it rained last night so it will be good and muddy.

We stopped at the Lions' Club Christmas tree stand last night and got exactly the tree we needed in 5 minutes.

We used to go to Wagon Trails Tree Farm in Poland, OH every year. It was fun when the kids were all here going out to the farm, doing the horse drawn carriage ride and cutting one down, but this works just fine too.

We were going to do decorations last week, but there was an El Niño on and I didn't feel like getting up on a ladder/roof in 50+mph winds. Why were didn't at least do inside decorations I am not quite sure.

Lights were up and lit about a week before Thanksgiving. I basically line it up with the end of DST once it starts getting dark at 5...I find it eases that adjustment for me.

Tree and inside was up black Friday. Did the wreaths, lighted topiaries, window candles, etc. Thursday. We have lights that we line our main flower bed and rock wall with. They're the led fairyish lights, and are only 2 years old. Plugged them in and came right on. Started to arrange them and went out. Messed with them a bit and they flickered a bit but wouldn't light. Gonna go later today to look for more.....might go bigger.

It was warm this morning, which is why I put everything up. My wife and daughter can decorate inside next weekend.

Hahahahaha

We got rid of our tree last year, and Mrs Tif was in charge of buying the new one (she was buying some other decorations, and wanted to do it all at once). I did the online shopping and found two or three options, and I placed them in our shared Amazon list. Either I placed them on the list incorrectly, or she didn't make the correct selection prior to placing it in her cart, but we are now the proud owners of a 5' tall collection of green fake sticks.

Bought my son a Harry Potter Lego advent calendar. Then we have our nativity advent that the kids all enjoy building

Re: elf on the shelf. Our boys made their Christmas lists to Santa today. Middle son wanted a pet elf, a cat and a flute. Love this kid

If you get a cat, get a void. They’re the best.

Have a whiskey advent calendar and also a chocolate one, doing some make your own pairings. I only put up a tree and since it is real and I keep it up until Jan 6th, we don't get it until mid December.

To be accurate, shouldn't it be showing his back with him looking up? And wasn't the gun in his right hand?

"A friend of mine once told me that her and partner didn’t have a ‘set’ side of the bed. They just went on whatever side they wanted each night."

Put these people on a watchlist.

I don’t believe that for one second. I don’t know who would make up that kind of story but I just can’t believe it

Yeah, you have a side. We’ve also gotten our own blankets because stealing in the middle of the night was becoming a major issue.

no need for a watchlist. I have enough information to make a decision to send these folks to the guillotine
