I'd be mad, but now I know never to interact with you ever again, so, in the long run, I guess it works out.

I don't know the term for this...if there is one...
Let's say you get charged $7.00 per month for something. But it's not actually $7, it's pro-rated daily...you're really billed 0.2333 per day, and it ends up at $7 at the end of the month. If you canceled the service at day 20, you'd charged $4.67 or whatever for that month. I'd consider that prorated pricing structure.
But is there a particular term for this scenario: You get charged $7.00 per month for something. And even if you cross into that billing period by one day, you're still charged the entire $7. Does this have a particular name/concept...?

Trains and Balloons. Is this 1923?

i've learned over the past couple weeks that there are 4.7 train derailments per day. but now thanks to social media, every time one happens I can read about how America is "under attack" or something

From my days back in the coal business, NS was always cutting corners. Very little surprises here. Out of 100 cars, there would always be a handful with locking wheels that we couldn't load into.

I believe this is called 'billing'.I don't know the term for this...if there is one...

Maybe you're paying for the trailing 30 days, not the current 30?

I'm going with, "How all lawyers bill their time."But is there a particular term for this scenario: You get charged $7.00 per month for something. And even if you cross into that billing period by one day, you're still charged the entire $7. Does this have a particular name/concept...?
We bill by the tenth, or every six minutes. I spent 6 minutes and 1 second on your phone call? You're getting billed 0.2 hours.

Monthly prepay I think. So you can cancel on day 2 of the month and likely they'll say, cool your cancelation is effective on the first of next month.

Over two years ago, they tore down part of a shopping center nearby and started building something, which turned out to be an Amazon Fresh. They just finished the building late last year, but a week or so ago some artwork, etc. was removed. Just read an article that Amazon is halting all Fresh builds, so there’s a good chance this store never even opens. What a massive waste. Worst part is, it replaced a Barnes and Noble that everyone in the community - my daughter included - loved.

I can’t decide on how I say it. It might be a situational usage. Like route and route

This is the kind of dumb game my friends and I would have come up with in grade school. This randomly showed up in my YT algorithm today...it knows me too well. Way better production value than it should have
