NTP66 hates choice, I guess.

Speaking of, General Mills is bringing back all four Monster Cereals.
No Yummy Mummy? This is an outrage.
Look at Faf with a rare good take.

In other news, I think I'm going to sign up for that Costco Visa tomorrow. Really should have done it from the start, but grossly underestimated how much I would love Costco. We spent on average $182/mo. there, outside of a few big purchases. That coupled with the Executive card, and I'll still come out ahead.
How much regular shopping do you do there? I usually stock up on proteins and such for cookouts there, but outside that I'm not sure what we've ever actually purchased at the store.

Actually, a few months ago I bought a new cookbook. And that was all. That was a fun time in the checkout line. People with like $600 worth of shopping carts overflowing with goods, and me and my one (1) $40 cookbook.

Definitely not regular shopping, and more like every 2-3 months. I thought maybe we'd only buy certain things there, but that quickly changed, so now we buy everything from clothing to bakery items to frozen foods. Bulk stuff like paper towels, toilet paper - even bacon - makes it worth it. We've saved quite a bit over the grocery store.

Same with us and the Visa is definitely worth it.

Yeah, I really **** up in this, because I spent $3500 at Costco on our washer and dryer and my tires alone, and that would have nearly doubled by rebate check.

Does work still pay you?

Mine does but I'm not sure how long they would do that.

Spotted lanternflies are all over downtown near the Point. I stomped half a dozen just crossing the street from the parking garage to my building, and I've killed at least a couple dozen over the last couple weeks.

Man, one of the things I love about staying in Salvo is how dark the night sky is. It's clear tonight and you can see every little rift in the Milky Way. Jupiter is like two degrees above the ocean. The center of the galaxy is a bright blob between Sagittarius and Scorpius.

No wonder the ancients thought the things they did.

I spotted that one last year when I flew into Milwaukee to go to PSU-Wisconsin and wasn't quick enough to get a picture of it. Hoped I'd get it when I came back a few weeks later for the Ryder Cup but we landed going the other way. Thought it was hilarious to have that on the roof like that but then I was wondering why anyone would want to even associate themselves with Cleveland.

pre-COVID my SO took a SouthWest flight where she was in the window seat and the guy on the aisle sat there with a bottle of tobacco spit with a bulge in his lip while everyone boarded. after the doors were closed he pulled the gum out of his lip, put the lid on the bottle, placed it in his backpack, looked over at my SO and said, "works every time"

I found that faking a cough while people boarded the regional rail (back when I took the train to work) was very effective.

yep, that was my move pre-COVID. it worked fairly regularly. I wouldn't do that now though. :scared:
