Not sure if anyone watches, but Ben's YT show Footbahlin is actually pretty good. He had Tomlin on this week, and I thought others would appreciate the stories. Queued up at the more interesting bits.

I hadn't realized the Steelers shitcanned Jerry Olsavsky. Man, drafted out of Pitt in 1989 (I vaguely remember meeting him and Alex Van Pelt during an alumni event I worked in high school, as my dad worked at Pitt) and played for the Steelers until 1997. Steelers assistant since 2010. Aaron Curry was hired to coach ILB.

Less shitcanned and more "contract not renewed" from what I saw. 22 years with the Steelers. Changes obviously needed to be made with ILB and since we've replaced all of them on the roster I guess they decided to just go scorched earth with everything. Still surprising to let Jerry O go, though I do wonder if his wife dying toward the end of 2021 had anything to do with the decision.

Awesome. And now we have a glut of interior OL. Wonder how this all shakes out with Daniels, Cole, Seumalo, and Herbig. Have to imagine Dotson and Green are fighting for their NFL careers and at least one of them will lose.

Wow...nice! Good to see where their focus has been in FA. Pickett and Najee must be loving it.

Now draft well, especially those first three picks...........and hope Canada discovers an insatiable obsession with wood whittling or something that forces him to step away from football, and we're potentially in way better shape than I thought we'd be heading into the season.

CB, WR and DL the only three groups that I think need an upgrade. WR might be more a want than a need? But still a high priority.

3-4 DE is a weird thing to draft at the top and not sure if there’s like that Casey Hampton type interior guy that would be coveted. Guessing they could also go with an impact safety that the last guy was supposed to be.

Mostly just sucks how bad bush and Edmonds turned out. Considering their positions and where they were drafted, those are massive busts.

I'd still take a LT if one of the big ones falls to us. This roster isn't looking too bad

Looked at some pff ratings.

They like kazee, maybe sss? Edmonds was I guess pretty average.

With that new guard, and that depth guy from the jets, that group
Should be more than set for next year.

Peterson rates will, but they still need another one side Sutton left, Witherspoon sucked. The MLBs are also average to below average, they need a long term solution there. And the dl still needs help.

Makes sense that they’d look for a plug and play with corner in the first round, ILB needs to be addressed, but that will depend heavily on what’s available in round 2. And have to assume they draft DL with one of the 2nd round picks to get as good a body as they can to join the rotation. So I see CB and DL early and only slightly dependent on how the draft goes. Then ILB and WR early as well depending on how they grade for which is selected first

The more I hear about it being a deep corner class, the less I think they'll go that way in round 1. Unless they think the guy they are getting is a true, #1 shutdown corner, they can get one later. Drop off shouldn't be steep.

I still think WR is a sleeper in round 1, with DL/OL being the most likely. ILB if there's one there, but not sure if there really is one worth taking that high.

They still need a premier tackle. They've avoided that position too long that they can't swing and miss on it.
