The only play I've seen so far was Pick-to-Pick sideline thing, and I would suggest that both the throw and the grab were......... 'agnostic' as to the level of competition, but that's just me.

Both of those deep pickett throws were money

Other thoughts

Calvin Austin the punt returner is going to impact games

Something is very different. Probably an annoying fan thought, but I remember watching that clip of Pickens and porter battling on that play in practice, and I felt it there. The team has that combo of talent and drive, they came in at another level. I don’t think it can last all season, but it’s showing in preseason, they look faster, stronger, and better in their games. I think the other teams will know how to turn it on come opening day, but this team is already at level 10.

They look great against 2nd teamers who necessarily aren't game planning to beat the Steelers.

It's nice having a Pickens, that no matter what seems to be able to catch the ball.

I think last night was the first time I saw our new TE in a game. That dude is a mountain of a man.

It's always impressive when in a sea of humongous people someone still stands out. I heard some reporter on the radio the other day talking about being at the Steelers facility during the pre-draft offseason and caught a mountain of UGA gear walking by out of the corner of his eye. Said to another reporter that he thought Broderick Jones already had his pre-draft visit and was then informed that it was Darnell Washington.

Does Pickett end up recognized as a top 10 quarterback in the NFL by the end of the season?

Will Pickens emerge as a #1 receiver this season?

When does Jones take the LT job? And then who ends up at RT?

What will Herbig do in real games? Watt will miss time, does he prove he's starting material?

taken in order - yes-ish. probably top 10-12

yes

not sure theres a huge rush for this so let him get time unless an injury arises. bye week is 6 so maybe week 7?

herbig will do well largely due to the depth the steelers have - watt, heyward, highsmith, herbeg. cant double everyone and if he can win some 1:1 matchups, should be primed for a nice season

I agree, on both points. lol

They are playing exceptionally clean football right now, in all three phases. The offense has looked, I daresay, modern. And the ones have been pinpoint all around. The defense is playing in hyperdrive. And special teams has had multiple splash plays. They just.............. s**t, they've just looked like an exceptionally good football team so far.

We went to a game in 2019, first time I had seen a team full of NFL players in person since I was a kid. During warmups I was like "THESE PEOPLE ARE MASSIVE, how much food do they have to eat just so they can move".
